MP's Broncos Update

Former NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle convinced "all the league's owners to adopt revenue sharing, arguably the most successful form of socialism in U.S. history. The reason the NFL is so dominant is because the NFL is basically Marxist. This was Rozelle's greatest coup, and everybody knows it. But you'd never guess that from watching the NFL Network. Marxism is not a talking point." -Chuck Klosterman

Regarding McDaniels/Profanity-gate: I don't think the guy should have apologized for anything. He didn't say anything unreasonable in the circumstances; in fact he didn't say anything that I haven't said at my job (which is moderately comparable). I think he apologized because he is a caring parent, which is a good thing, but I hope he doesn't change his ways. I like his fieriness.

Falling Down the Mountain

So I haven't written anything in a while because, well, the Broncos suck right now. And it won't get better anytime soon.

First, I fully expect LT to completely romp all over the Broncos. He might get 200 yards in the game. Hell, he might get four touchdowns, too. There's no reason to expect one of the best backs in the league to do anything less against the worst rushing defense. Plus, San Diego's pissed. They blew a gimme game against the Chiefs at home, and they're gonna bounce back in a big way.

Second, Javon Walker's knee problem looks serious. He sat out last week against Indy and it looks like he'll sit out this week too. This doesn't bode well for anyone. With Walker out, teams can put extra guys on Brandon Marshall, and no other receiver has stepped up so far this season.

Third (and this one's not exactly a shocker), Travis Henry is in trouble for potentially violating the league's substance abuse policy. He is a repeat offender. If found guilty, he's out for the season. He is the only bright spot on a woefully inadequate offense. Coming into the season, everyone was high on Henry's potential in Denver's offense. Apparently Henry was a little high too. Ass.

So, yeah, there's not a lot to really get excited about right now. But Mike-I-signed-Daryl-Gardner-and-Dale-Carter-and-now-Travis-Henry-Shanahan has a way to get a win when you least expect it. Well, Mastermind, I don't expect crap this Sunday. Amaze me.

Better news: Jump on the bandwagon - there's room for everyone!!!
Inspiring news: Coolbaugh's family get a playoff share.
Wasted Space on News: Corpas and H2O.
Ode to Travis Henry (and if you're shocked by this, I'm not talking to you for a week)
