MP's Broncos Update

Former NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle convinced "all the league's owners to adopt revenue sharing, arguably the most successful form of socialism in U.S. history. The reason the NFL is so dominant is because the NFL is basically Marxist. This was Rozelle's greatest coup, and everybody knows it. But you'd never guess that from watching the NFL Network. Marxism is not a talking point." -Chuck Klosterman

Regarding McDaniels/Profanity-gate: I don't think the guy should have apologized for anything. He didn't say anything unreasonable in the circumstances; in fact he didn't say anything that I haven't said at my job (which is moderately comparable). I think he apologized because he is a caring parent, which is a good thing, but I hope he doesn't change his ways. I like his fieriness.

Welcome to Denver, Kyle Orton

So I didn't really see the whole Cutler for Kyle Orton trade happening, but I'm not really very worried anyway. Wanna know why? Call me naive, but this is what Orton had to say about himself today while he was at Dove Valley:

"I've taken the same approach my entire and that is, my job description is to win football games," he said. "And I've done a pretty good job of that and I plan to keep that up. I'm a hard worker. I'm not flashy by any means but my job is to play football and win and I plan to do that."

Sounds good to me. I like a guy who's cocky and confident.

Welcome to Denver, Kyle Orton. We expect great things.

Dunno if I'd call that cocky and confident. Sounds mature and confident. Definitely something we could use more of.
Now, who are we picking up with our draft picks?!?!
